History Park: This park is one of the main strongholds of Valdivian forest within the city. It was acquired by the family in 1852 Harnecker who supplemented the native forest with exotic species to transform it into a large park with botanical garden and a small zoo.
In 1937 the park was acquired by the Municipality of Valdivia for the purpose of creating a recreational center, a project that was completed in 1982.
